Workforce Development Leader

Lakecia Moniquè Reynolds, also known as Keci Moniquè, is a justice- and workforce-development leader with more than fifteen years of combined experience across law enforcement, case management, vocational training, and reentry-focused employment services. Her professional career has been rooted in preparing individuals—particularly those impacted by incarceration, trauma, and disability—to secure meaningful, feasible employment and achieve long-term stability.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from DeVry University and her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University. She is currently completing a second master’s degree in Social Work at Simmons University, further strengthening her expertise in trauma-informed practice, systems navigation, and ethical service delivery.

Professionally, Keci served as a Pre-Employment Specialist, working directly with individuals with disabilities to assess functional capacity, remove barriers to employment, and secure positions aligned with each individual’s abilities and strengths. Her work bridged compliance, compassion, and workforce readiness—ensuring that employment outcomes were not only attainable, but sustainable. This experience informs her systems-level approach to workforce development, reentry, and inclusion.

Keci’s leadership is also shaped by lived experience. Much of her academic and professional journey was completed as a single mother, managing education, career advancement, and family responsibilities independently. She is now a devoted wife of fourteen blissful years, a mother of four, and a proud MiMi to six—roles that ground her work in legacy, generational impact, and long-term community stability.

As the child of a mother impacted by substance use and an emotionally absent father, Keci witnessed early how instability, untreated trauma, and lack of support shape life outcomes—both inside and outside prison walls. These experiences, coupled with her direct responsibility for individuals under supervision within the justice system, give her a rare dual perspective: one that understands incarceration not only as a system, but as a ripple effect impacting families, children, and entire communities.

A serialpreneur by design, Keci brings strategic vision, operational discipline, and sustainability-focused leadership to mission-driven work. She understands that meaningful change requires more than passion—it requires structure, accountability, and programs built to last. Her work stands at the intersection of justice, workforce development, family systems, and opportunity creation, driven by the belief that transformation is possible when people are met with both high standards and real support.

Beyond the Sentence

Leadership shaped by experience, driven by purpose.

Beyond the Sentence represents a commitment to what happens after incarceration—where real work begins, and lasting outcomes are determined.

A sentence may mark the end of judicial accountability, but it does not resolve the complex realities individuals face upon reentry. Employment barriers, untreated trauma, family disruption, limited access to resources, and systemic exclusion often stand between justice-impacted individuals and successful reintegration. Beyond the Sentence exists to address those realities with clarity, structure, and intention.

This work is grounded in lived experience and professional expertise across law enforcement, workforce development, education, and case management. It acknowledges accountability while recognizing that public safety and community stability are strengthened when individuals are prepared—not discarded—to reenter society. Beyond the Sentence is not about excusing past choices; it is about equipping people to move forward responsibly and productively.

Through workforce readiness, vocational pathways, individualized support, and long-term stabilization strategies, individuals are guided beyond survival and toward sustainability. The focus is on feasible employment, personal responsibility, and systems navigation that honors dignity while maintaining high standards.

Beyond the Sentence is where discipline becomes direction, experience informs action, and purpose drives outcomes. It is where second chances are structured, futures are rebuilt, and communities benefit from inclusion that is intentional, accountable, and enduring because justice does not end at release—it evolves into responsibility.
